Printing in Color on the new Xerox Copiers
In order to print in color on the new copiers, you will first need to make sure you are authorized to and that you have the unique PIN for color printing. That can be given to you by your campus administrators.
- If you do not see the correct copier, submit a help desk ticket with your name, campus, role, and computer name so we can make sure it is getting the correct policies.
- Once the correct xerox copier is identified and available to your windows computer, you should be ready to print your color document.

Windows or Standard Programs:
- If you are printing within Windows (ie. Notepad) or Word, these systems should utilize the system print dialogue or a version that shows you the correct color settings.
- Select the correct copier from the list and choose "Printer Properties" as shown below:
- When the xerox preferences page opens, toggle the "Black and White Only" default setting to "Off", as seen below:
- Press OK, and hit print.
- You will be prompted for your User ID, which is the PIN you will use that was provided by your campus administration if you are authorized to use color printing:
- You will be notified that your job was either successful or a failure, at which point you can gather your printed jobs or request assistance if you have printing issues.

Printing in Chrome:
- *Because Chrome utilizes it's own print interface, it is unable to communicate correctly with the xerox driver that allows for job accounting.
- To print by not using the Chrome interface, press Ctrl+Shift+P to print utilizing the system dialogue or press print, select "More Settings", and scroll down to the bottom and select "Print using system Dialogue":
- When the system dialogue comes up, choose the correct printer and select "Preferences" and follow steps 4-9 of the Windows steps above.
